When you tell people that you want to start a quarterly online written and audio magazine, they hit you with questions. Why a magazine focused on tradition? There’s already so much writing out there, why add to the pile? What’s the point anyway, and where are you going to go with this?
What a great idea! To disseminate core truths, values and customs once entrusted to our care, along with the generations that precede us, that the torch might be eventually re-presented as a gift returned with interest to the One who commenced this great enterprise of Christianity. Certainly there is much in print nowadays, but how much is of value to the Christian soul, and how much that is not tainted by hypocrisy, fear or suppression? And why write or read, speak or listen to topics covered elsewhere, perhaps to repletion? Because there is a need for the human soul to articulate its own truth in the context of this present age and in light of one's own circumstances, to reassimilate the sense of self that one might better know, love and serve Him who has first loved us into existence-- and in whom awaits our crowning glory. May we relish the hard work of others here that is generously set before us!
